You will receive a chargeback for Direct Import if your booking for your import shipment was late, or your Estimated Cargo Delivery Date was outside the expected ship window. These defects cause delay to the overall transit time which leads to delays for Amazon's customers.

Root cause 1 — Late Booking

You did not submit a booking to Amazon's origin service provider, Century Distribution Systems, Inc. (CDS), before the Earliest Ship Date on the PO by:

Root cause 2 — Late Shipment

The Estimated Cargo Delivery Date entered into CDS's booking system (VMS) was not within the ship window designated on the PO.

Example : Earliest Vendor Ship Date 2015-09-02, Latest Vendor Ship Date 2015-09-16, ECDD entered as 2015-09-24 → outside the window.

ECDD 是货到起运地的日期，不是到 Amazon FC 的日期，按货型分两种：CY（整箱）= 供应商的整箱柜交到出口港（port of exit）；CFS（拼箱）= 供应商的货交到 CFS 集货仓库。
ship window 两端与 ECDD 在同一条时间轴上，Incoterm 决定是「供应商送」还是「Amazon 提」：First Ship Date（= Earliest Vendor Ship Date）—— ECDD 须当日或之后；Last Ship Date（= Latest Vendor Ship Date）—— ECDD 须当日或之前；FOB / MPP 下两端指供应商把货送到装运港或起运地仓库，FCA / MFP 下指 Amazon 到供应商工厂上门提货。
Late Booking 的判定口径（手册 p.13）：判的是向 CDS 提交订舱的时间，与 CDS 是否已确认无关 —— 即使订舱仍在合规审批或例外审批中也必须按时提交。供应商「我提交了但没人确认」的申辩不成立；反之 VMS 的提交时间戳即为有效证据。
三条使用约束：① 天数一律以 现行 AVC 页为准 —— 手册是 2021-12-01 版，Late Booking 只写 Ocean 14 天 / Air 3 天，没有 Ground 7 天，手册只用于解释术语；② 只用 ECDD 一个叫法 —— 手册内部还混用 Cargo Delivery Date（p.7）/ Cargo Ready Date（Q10）/ Estimated Received Date（Q6）三个别名；③ Early Shipment 容差存疑 —— p.7 写 Cargo Delivery Date before POs First Ship Date，Q10 写 Cargo Ready Date greater than 7 days before POs First Ship Date，字段名与容差均不一致，需看真实 VMS 界面才能定，本单元暂不写 Early Shipment。

  • Submit the import booking to CDS before the Earliest Ship Date — 14 days (Ocean) / 7 days (Ground), or 3 days before ECDD (Air)
  • Click Submit to complete the booking — a started-but-unsubmitted booking still incurs the chargeback
  • Enter an Estimated Cargo Delivery Date inside the PO's ship window
  • Keep the PO's Earliest and Latest Vendor Ship Dates in view when booking

为何拆轴:ESD 与 ECDD 是两个不同锚点,同一轴上一个坐标点无法同时表达三种运输方式的合规/违规。
