1 Definition
A delivery will be rejected if it is not compliant with Amazon's delivery requirements or Amazon encountered problems during receipt of your delivery. If this happens, Amazon may refuse the delivery at your expense, which may also result in a chargeback.
Amazon requires deliveries to follow the standard operating procedures and safety requirements in the Vendor Manual — including using only acceptable pallets, providing vehicles that are safe to unload, and delivering the pallet count flagged in the carrier booking form.

Goods & packaging
- Deliveries not free of damage — any imperfection compromising usability or appearance may be considered damaged and rejected
- Broken or damaged pallets
- Load not comprised of flat, full layers, creating unstable loads — particularly the top layer of the bottom pallet
- Freight that has been tampered with, is inaccessible for unloading, or contains no delivery paperwork
- Deliveries containing over half a pallet's worth of stock but not palletised
Hazmat & category routing
- Hazmat products delivered to a non-Hazmat fulfilment centre — will be rejected or disposed of at the vendor's cost (Amazon's Hazmat facilities are clearly identified in the Vendor Manual)
- Food products delivered to a non-food fulfilment centre
- Spirits with alcoholic content above 69% (only spirits with alcoholic content up to 69% are accepted)
Health & safety
- Pallets not shrink wrapped
- Single-stacked pallets over 1.7 m in height
- Double-stacked pallets over 3 m in height
- Non-cooperative or abusive drivers who fail to comply with site health and safety regulations
Timing
- Delivery not on time — on time means actual arrival within 30 minutes of the scheduled appointment. In case of an unforeseen event, the relevant FC's bookings team must be notified immediately; otherwise the delivery may be rejected. If notified, the delivery will be rescheduled subject to availability.

- Follow the delivery requirements in the Vendor Manual
- Use undamaged, acceptable pallets; ensure loads are flat, full layers and stable
- Shrink wrap all pallets; keep single-stacked pallets under 1.7 m and double-stacked under 3 m
- Palletise any delivery containing more than half a pallet of stock
- Route Hazmat products only to designated Hazmat FCs, and food products only to food FCs
- Ensure spirits do not exceed 69% alcohol content
- Deliver within 30 minutes of the scheduled appointment; if an unforeseen event occurs, notify the FC bookings team immediately to get rescheduled instead of rejected
- Ensure freight is accessible for unloading and delivery paperwork is included
- Brief drivers on site health and safety compliance
